The 2012 Global Workforce Study by Towers Watson was a real eye-opener in terms of how employees levels of engagement affects their performance. Traditional engagement, the survey suggested, is simply no longer sufficient, and with the recent news that austerity will be with us until at least 2016, employers are going to need to know how to keep their staff energised, properly resourced and ultimately, innovative and creative.
